“Healthy Heart Month” Annual Charity Bike Ride Will Be Held in the Capital
On August 10, at 19:30, the capital will host the annual charity bike ride within the Healthy Heart Month.
In the framework of the event dedicated to the seventh anniversary since the first transplantation of a donor heart in Kazakhstan, a charity bike ride and a concert of MOLDANAZAR Band will take place.
The route of the ride participants will pass along Kerei Zhanibek Khandar St. and Turan Ave. The 12-kilometer bike ride will be started from the parking lot of the National Research Cardiac Surgery Center (38 Turan Ave.) and will be continued further along Turan Ave. up to Astana Star Monument (ring road along Kabanbai Batyr St.), where the participants will u-turn and continue their trip again along Turan Ave. to the National Research Cardiac Surgery Center. At the finish line, the participants will enjoy a draw with valuable prizes, and all the funds raised will be used to develop education and science in the field of cardiac surgery. During the bike ride traffic will be partially restricted on the specified streets in order to ensure safety for the participants.
It is worth noting that the maximum time to overcome the entire distance is 60 minutes.
Everyone above 16 can take part in the bike ride. One is required to get registered on the website of the Healthy Heart Center Corporate Fund www.hcenter.kz to participate. Registration fee is 5000 tenge. The first 300 registered participants will receive gifts in the form of branded accoutrements of the Fund.
A significant event will be the participation in the bike ride of patients with a donor heart and experts supervised by Dr. Yuriy Pya who has performed these unique surgeries.
The main organizer of the “Healthy Heart Month” Charity Event is the Heart Center Corporate Fund founded under the initiative of the National Research Cardiac Surgery Center JSC. The Heart Center Fund is the first and only fund in Kazakhstan established to develop research and educational activities of the clinic, as well as to improve the cardiac surgery service of the Republic of Kazakhstan as a whole.
