The Capital’s Athlete Has Won a Silver Medal at the International Para Dance Tournament
The licensed International Wheelchair Dance Tournament has been completed in the Finnish city of Tampere. The competitions were held during August 1 to 5, where athletes from 12 countries took part.
Ardak Otorbayev, the dancer of the capital’s para dance sports school, the master of sports of international class, took the second place in a solo performance, which allowed him to win a license for the upcoming world championship, which will be held this fall. The athletes also took the fifth place in partner dances together with the capital’s athlete Aidana Beglenova.
“Now we are going through a cycle of preparation for the World Championship, this tournament was a licensed one, where our athlete Ardak was able to approve himself and win a license. In September, the Wheelchair Dancing World Cup will be held in St. Petersburg, we will be getting prepared for that. At the moment, all the conditions for training have been created for persons with disabilities in the capital’s Children and Youth Sports School, so we are expressing our gratitude to the school management and the Department of Culture and Sports for their support,” – said Aliya Tussupbekova, the Honored Coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
